Philana Li is an independent scholar and curator who received her MA in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Her thesis entitled Constructing and Curating the Asian American Identity Within Asian American Exhibitions investigated the Afro-Caribbean-Chinese Diaspora in the United States. She is interested in the Asian American diaspora and contemporary Asian American art, with a particular focus on questions of identity and belonging.
